Almira Vujovic obtained her Medical Doctors Degree from the University of Sarajevo in 1986 and was forced to move to Canada in 1994 due to war in her home of Bosnia. With her background in professional general medical practice and emergency medicine, clinical and laboratory research, and public relations, she is the perfect person to fill her role as REDIWorks Division Manager where she has been an employee since 2003 and in a leadership role since 2006. Almira is also a Certified Surveyor for Creating Excellence Together (CET) Accreditation Program for the Disability Services Sector with the Alberta Council for Disability Services. 

At REDI, Almira leads a highly successful supported employment program with an emphasis on career development, inclusive workplaces, and lifelong learning. She is passionate about behavioural analysis and behaviour support management and is a strong believer that embracing each other's uniqueness, talents, and abilities are the key to innovation and success. 

Almira believes in continuous learning, empowering others, and inspiring success. When she’s not spending time with family, travelling, or pursuing her passion for photography, she can be found volunteering in the community including a role on the Board of Directors for the Lifelong Education and Resource Network (L.E.A.R.N.), and Worlds of Women Together.
