REDIWorks was the first foray into providing services for people living with disabilities in Medicine Hat. At a time where isolation was the norm, our founders, Mrs. Beth Clarke and Mrs. Ada Williams, believed that this population was drastically underserved, and they were capable of so much more than they were given credit for.

Often the first thing someone asks you when they meet you is “What do you do?” Imagine never having the opportunity to earn your own paycheck, the pride you would feel. It’s not about the money- it's about being the same, being included in the community.

After the year 2000, individuals moved from the workshops into community opportunities and new opportunities for community education and inclusion. Currently REDI supports over 94 clients towards their social and employment goals through one-on-one job coaching, job placement, education, volunteer and social support to individuals.

find the fit

REDIWorks finds jobs that are a good fit for clients and employers. Our case workers find meaningful employment and volunteer opportunities for the individuals we support. Our goal is to find employers with strong workplace cultures that are equal and inclusive, and are equitable and valuable for the individual and employer.

We talk, connect, coach on appropriate language, limitations on tasks, problem solving strategies, all while helping a person grow and be at their best.
