Funds For Change
With the arrival of provincial funding in 1972, the Medicine Hat Rehabilitation Society (MHRS) was able to serve 20-25 disabled persons daily after hiring professional, full-time personnel. This change allowed for the MHRS to provide more formalized training programs in vocational and daily living skills. Other changes included being able to service all disability groups, not just the physically disabled.
