The Keenans have a big house. “I think it’s 2,860 [sq. feet] or something, finished, up and down,” Tim says. “At the time, when we moved into this place, I made it into a five bedroom house.”
Wendy wants to go to Belize for Christmas. But for her, it’s more than a holiday. It’s a marking-point for her recovery. “Going to Belize means that I don’t have my AFO [ankle-foot orthosis] on my leg,” she says. “If I have it on, I can’t feel the sand through my toes.”
Tara Chisholm wants to get you active. As the director and co-founder of Medicine Hat Adaptive Sport and Recreation, her goal is to get people of all types of physical ability moving and exercising in her hometown. It’s why she started the organization.
Linda R. is learning to crochet. It’s something she’s always wanted to do. She hopes to finish the purple purse she’s working on before Christmas, so she can give it to her sister as a gift.
Chuck and Linda got married in 2004. “I asked her to marry me the year before, at a Tigers game,” Chuck says. “I went down on one knee. A bunch of the Tigers came out of the dressing room to find out what was going on, and then one of them said, “OK, kiss now!””
Linda caught Chuck’s eye on the first day of college, back in 1997. “I thought, ‘There’s the girl for me,’” Chuck says, “but I didn’t ask her out until February. We went out on a date to the Tigers game together.”
