Nina Stolar
REDILives – Medical Support Needs
Born and raised in former Yugoslavia, Nina completed education to become an RN and worked in a Psychiatric clinic for a couple of years. Afterwards, Nina made the switch to Cardiology, where she worked until her country came into crisis. At this time, Nina moved to Canada and began working with REDI in 1995.
For many years following, Nina worked in Vocational Services (REDIWorks) providing support to different groups including Southern Region Self Advocacy Network (SRSAN). In 2014 she received an Ally Recognition Award from Southern Alberta Individualized Planning Association (SAIPA). In 2014, Nina moved to Residential Services where she was promoted to Division Manager.
Nina loves helping people and seeing their successes. In her free time, she volunteers with Victim Assistance and enjoys walking long distances and hiking.
