Rachel Abrahamson

Finance

Rachel Abrahamson joined REDI Enterprises in January of 2022 as the Finance Manager. Rachel is a Chartered Professional Accountant with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University and 20 plus years in a variety of accounting roles, within Canada and abroad. Her experiences have prepared her for this exciting new chapter with a not-for-profit organization.  Rachel is also a part-time instructor with the Medicine Hat College and enjoys mentoring and helping her students get that ‘a ha’ moment.

Rachel is passionate about numbers; give her an excel spreadsheet to format and reconcile and she goes right to her happy place. When she is not crunching numbers she is crocheting, gardening, fishing and tending to her bees.  Yoga and biking are her go to fitness activities and family means the world to her. She wonders if her grandchildren will eventually follow in their parent’s and ‘Nana’s’ footsteps and become accountants.

Rachel is blessed to be part of the team at REDI, and feels she has come full circle, as she once worked as a support worker before beginning her long path to becoming a designated accountant.
